Our Founding Fathers
Believe it or not, there were two founding fathers of the United States, and both shared the name Chase. Both were very important and powerful during their times, and today are still quite well known.
Salmon P. Chase
There are some who say that Salmon P. Chase was not only a founding father, but may have been related to great patriotic figure - President Abraham Lincoln. Although the two may not have know it at the time, there is some evidence that these two were distantly related. Today, Chase's face appears on the $10,000 dollar bill, although it is no longer circulated. However, Salmon P. Chase was best known for being impeached for having unpopular beliefs. With a very important issue at hand, his impeachment trial has forever changed history.

A founding father indeed, was Samuel Chase. Chase was one of the 52 signers of The Declaration Of Independence, which of course, freed the thirteen American Colonies from the rule of Great Britain and King George. You can see his signature directly under John Hancock's signature, which is the first one on the list. You can easily spot Hancock's signature, and right under it is Chase's.
